We are excited to announce that Raymond King, CEO of Porkbun, will be joining us at Nordic Domain Days for the first time.
Raymond is one of those people who has quietly shaped the domain industry over the course of decades. He co-founded SnapNames in 2000, building it into one of the leading secondary markets for domain names before its acquisition in 2007. He went on to co-found Top Level Design in 2012, applying for and operating new gTLDs including .design, .wiki, .ink, and .gay during the first round. Along the way, he has applied for, auctioned, operated, and sold top-level domains, giving him a perspective that very few people in the industry can match.
In 2014, he founded Porkbun, which has quickly grown into one of the most popular domain registrars in the world. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Porkbun has earned recognition as the number one domain registrar on Trustpilot and has been named the top registrar by USA Today for three consecutive years. It is a company built on competitive pricing, genuine customer care, and a brand personality that stands out in an industry not always known for those things.
At Nordic Domain Days, Raymond will take to the stage during the Domain Industry Update to talk about the 2026 round of new gTLDs. Having been through the 2012 round from multiple sides, and now running a registrar, he will share what the new round looks like from both the applicant and registrar perspectives, what has changed, what has not, and what people should be paying attention to.
"I've heard great things about NDD and I'm excited to finally make it. I'm hoping the session sparks a good back-and-forth - there's no shortage of things to discuss about this round," says Raymond.
We could not agree more. Welcome to Stockholm, Raymond!
